Why Trek Mount Abang?
Mount Abang (2,152 m) is the highest point on the Batur caldera rim, northeast of Mount Batur in Bali. Its trail is quieter and slightly more challenging than Mount Batur, making it ideal for travelers seeking a more peaceful sunrise.

Wide Panoramic Views on Clear Days
From the summit, you may see Mount Rinjani on Lombok, Mount Agung, and Mount Batur and its lake to the west.

- Pick-up details are shared via WhatsApp before the activity.

- Your trek is private, with no other participants.
3. Pick-up & Meeting Point
- Pick-up times depend on your area.
- For Meeting Point bookings, guests arrive at the agreed location by 02:30 WITA.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Free cancellation and rescheduling at least 24 hours before the start time.
- A 50% fee applies within 24 hours, and 100% on the day of the tour.
- Bank fees on refunds follow your bank’s policy.
5. Weather
- Rain and cloud are common on Mount Abang.
- If conditions are unsafe to start, you may receive a full refund or free rescheduling, based on the guide’s assessment. A forecast alone does not qualify.
6. Fitness & Footwear
- The trail is challenging, with a slippery uphill section.
- Good hiking shoes are strongly recommended.
How difficult is Mount Abang?
It is challenging, and somewhat harder than the Mount Batur sunrise trek. The path crosses tropical forest, then a slippery uphill track.
How long does the tour take?
The trek starts around 02:30 and you reach the summit around 05:30. The tour ends around 09:00–09:30, about 8–9 hours including pick-up.
What will I see from the summit?
On clear days you can see Mount Rinjani, Mount Agung, and Mount Batur with its lake. Mount Abang often has rain and cloud, so views are not guaranteed.
Is this a private tour?
Yes. Only your group joins, with your own private guide.
Do you offer hotel pick-up?
Yes. Choose Hotel Transfer for a private round trip from your area, or Meeting Point for a lower price.
